STEP 01
Carefully examine the holographic tamper-evident seal covering your Trezor's USB port or outer retail packaging. If the hologram appears damaged, peeled, or missing, stop immediately and contact support. Connect the hardware unit to your computer using the original USB cable.

Navigate directly to trezor.io/start in your browser and choose Trezor Suite for desktop (macOS, Windows, Linux) or web. Trezor Suite is your sovereign command center to manage assets, execute transfers, stake tokens, verify authenticity, and safely install the latest signed firmware.

Your Trezor generates a unique 12, 20, or 24-word recovery seed directly on its built-in screen. Transcribe every single word in sequence onto the provided recovery sheets. Never type these seed words on a keyboard, never take photos, and store your physical paper or steel backup in a secure offline safe.
STEP 04
Configure a strong personal PIN code directly on your Trezor screen to guard against physical unauthorized access. Once confirmed, you can activate Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, and thousands of supported altcoins within Trezor Suite. You are now equipped for safe self-custody cold storage.
Trezor staff, administrators, or official automated tools will NEVER ask you for your 12 or 24-word recovery seed. Anyone who asks for your recovery seed is an impostor attempting theft. Never type these recovery words into any mobile app, webpage, browser extension, or digital document. Authentic confirmation takes place strictly on the physical hardware screen.
