Initialize your new hardware wallet in minutes. Follow this verified initialization protocol to install genuine firmware, generate offline recovery seeds, and protect digital assets.
STEP 01
Inspect the holographic tamper-evident seal on your packaging. Plug your Trezor into your desktop via USB and navigate strictly to trezor.io/start in your secure browser.
STEP 02
Download and install the official Trezor Suite desktop client. The application will check hardware authenticity and install the newest cryptographic firmware directly.
STEP 03
Record each 12- or 24-word recovery phrase on the provided physical backup card. Keep it completely offline; never photograph, save, or type it into any website.
Legitimate Trezor software will never ask you to re-enter your seed words on a keyboard or phone screen. The device screen alone confirms PIN and transactions.
